What UKG looks like day to day
UKG days have a little more shape than the years before them, because that shape is part of the preparation. There are periods with a beginning and an end. There is written work. There is the expectation that you tidy up after yourself and that you put your hand up before speaking.
But it is still a preschool. There is still art, still music, still running about outside, still a story before home time. A five-year-old who is enjoying themselves learns faster than one who is enduring the day.
